Hello family and friends,
First of all, thank you for your prayers and support. We have been praying for God’s direction and wisdom. There has a lot of things that have happened. Some good, some great, some questionable but trusting God that in spite of our impatient heart He still God and we can readjust our lives to His plan.
I know it has been a while since we sent a newsletter. I hope you have been following us in facebook. God has been working in and through us. Let us give you an update, a lot has happened.
Perez Family Updates:

Saraí is now at Liberty University. We are so grateful for families and friends that blessed her with financial help. Please pray for her as she seeks the Lord there. Her goal is to be a missionary doctor.

Misael is still with us and now he is assisting in teaching a Sunday School class and he has a part time online job. It is great to see God using him.

Verna and I started working as a teacher at a Christian school. Verna as Science teacher and me as a Bible teacher. However, we didn’t realize how busy teachers are. I am working until December. Consequently, we have moved close to work, where before it would take us three hours going and coming to get there and now it takes us less than 30 minutes.
Ministry Update:
We have been going to the village almost every Sunday.

There were couple of time we didn’t go because the community had their drinking ceremony or “congreso”, where chiefs from different community come together to do chants.
During those time they don’t allow anyone to come in.
God Touching the Chief’s Heart:
God Touching the Chief’s Heart:
When kids or anyone get sick most of the time they don’t go to a hospital. They call on the spirits to heal them. They use natural medicine; however the witch doctor calls on the spirit (pray) for the spirit to help the medicine and make the person better. Of course sometimes they don’t get healed. Many kids have died.

The Chief’s youngest grandkid was sick and he took him to the hospital. He let us know and asked to pray for the baby. We called him couple of times to ask how the baby was and to pray for the baby.
Praise God the baby was getting better!
The chief left me a message and i wasn't sure what he was saying becasue it was in Kuna. I thought maybe I was hearing wrong. I asked a couple of people to translate. Pople usually say how God has helped them or has healed them, but the chief mentioned Jesus. The message was saying how God helped the baby and they also mentioned Jesus not only that He helped him but that He is God.
Praise God!!!
Pray that we would start teaching him and discipling Him.
Pray for the Men:
One thing we have been praying for is God to bring couples. During our worship service there are very few or no men. Please pray for us as we are trying to reach the men.

Young Teenagers:
We are planning to baptize young teeneagers. We are excited about that! Young teenagers have been very interested in learning more about God. We are seeing God using few young teenagers. Praise God!!
